Soma = Body 

Somatic practices are body based modalities including breathwork, movement, massage & sound, & have been used for 5K+ years by ancient traditions to stay connected to self. When practicing breathing or taking a nature walk "somatically", we're keeping awareness on how it feels, the internal experience of sensation. 

We're learning the language of the body by integrating mind & body, which requires awareness, trust, & intention.

The problem? Western medicine separates the mind and body, but it's all the same system. We also live in a culture that hijacks this process, keeping us  "in our heads" disconnected from our emotions & built in guidance systems. Over time, suppressed emotions (energy in motion) manifest as dis-ease & inflammation in the body, leading to anxiety, depression, addiction, illness, chronic pain, you get the picture.

Neuroscience & trauma research now show that the "body keeps the score", not the mind. Sessions are designed  for you to reconnect to your bodies inner wisdom, get underneath the symptoms, heal emotional wounds & rewire the nervous system with new patterns giving you agency and choice.

All sessions allow a safe space to reconnect with your bodies innate intelligence. The trauma informed approach respects nervous system titration to reach your unique goals.
